Green Day IV in Nu'uanu <Green Day flier>

Date:   Saturday, April 22, 2017

Time:  9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Place:  Nu'uanu Congregational Church, 2651 Pali Highway, Honolulu

The first Earth Day in April 1970 activated 20 million Americans form all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement.  The passage of several landmark environmental laws soon followed.  Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage.  More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.  We can do our part.

Nu'uanu Congregational Church's Green Day IV happens on Saturday, Aril 22, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We focus on items that sustain us and our island...worms and their by products, plants, recycled home items, technological waste, and those reams of paper we spit out by the second to reduce our footprints.

Place:  Harris United Methodist Church, 20 S. Vineyard Boulevard, Honolulu

Reminder the Rummage Sale is almost upon us.  Therefore, you may bring your donations of new and clean/gently used treasures to Church.  You may leave them on the stage in Miyama Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  Grubby Monday is April 24, hence we will need lots of help to unload the storage container and stage of all the donations in preparation for Sale Day.  Throughout the week we will work from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to unpack/sort/price all items for sale. For the Refreshment and Bake Sale Sections:  Donations of baked goodies may be brought on Friday, April 28 or on the day of the Sale, pre-packaged in quart size ziplock bags; also bottled water or juice to sell would be appreciated.  This is a team effort hence your assistance and participation on Rummage Sale Day for sales, security, parking and clean-up is welcomed.  If you can assist and have not been contacted by the Section Chairs, please contact Annette Okimoto or Sachi Taketa at the Church office 536-9602.
